progresifjaya.co.id, JAKARTA – The implementation of Operation Patuh 2026, which was planned to run for 14 days from tomorrow, Monday, June 8, 2026, to Sunday, June 21, 2026, has reportedly been postponed without any clear start date.

One of the author’s sources, Head of the Karawang Police Traffic Unit, AKP Sudiriyanto, also confirmed the news.

“Yes, we received instructions from our leadership that Operation Patuh 2026, originally planned for June 8-21, 2026, is temporarily postponed until further instructions are issued by our leadership,” said AKP Sudiriyanto on Sunday, June 7, 2026.

The postponement of this operation will be further clarified in a Telegram Letter (ST) issued by the Polri’s Operations Operations Unit (STAMAOPS). This will include directions and instructions regarding the implementation of subsequent activities.

The nationwide traffic safety raids conducted by the Indonesian Polri Traffic Corps (Korlantas Polri), known as Operation Patuh 2026, were conducted to improve public traffic discipline and reduce the number of road accidents.

The list of violations targeted by Operation Patuh 2026, along with the penalties, refer to Law Number 22 of 2009 concerning Road Traffic and Transportation (LLAJ). The following are the violations targeted by Operation Patuh 2026:

1. Using a mobile phone while driving: a maximum fine of Rp750.000 or a maximum of three months’ imprisonment.

1. Underage drivers or those without a driver’s license: a maximum fine of Rp1 million or a maximum of four months’ imprisonment.

1. Not wearing a seat belt: a maximum fine of Rp250.000 or a maximum of one month’s imprisonment.

1. Not wearing a helmet that meets SNI standards: a maximum fine of Rp250.000 or a maximum of one month’s imprisonment.

1. Driving against the flow of traffic: a maximum fine of Rp500.000 or a maximum of two months’ imprisonment.

1. Exceeding the speed limit: a maximum fine of Rp500.000 or a maximum of two months’ imprisonment.

1. Driving under the influence of alcohol, resulting in impaired concentration: a maximum fine of Rp750.000 or a maximum of three months’ imprisonment.

1. Failure to install a TNKB (National Vehicle Registration Certificate) or using a license plate that does not comply with regulations: a maximum fine of Rp500.000 or a maximum of two months’ imprisonment.

1. Riding a motorcycle with more than one passenger: a maximum fine of Rp250.000 or a maximum of one month’s imprisonment.

1. Vehicles that do not meet technical and roadworthy requirements, such as missing mirrors or exhausts that do not comply with regulations, are subject to a maximum fine of Rp250.000 for motorcycles and Rp500.000 for cars.
